Crisis Management

We love nothing more than getting your name in print and seeing you in the headlines but equally, we get a kick out of keeping you out of the press when it really matters.

Crisis ManagementCrises happen in every organisation; service delivery problems, HR issues, product recalls, a social media faux pas… the list is endless. Each and every issue has the potential to have you hitting the headlines in a very negative way.

It’s also about reputational management and protecting your brand; how you respond to a crisis will determine what is said about you in the press and what your customers think about you.  All your actions from what you say to what you do will come under scrutiny and handled the wrong way, will not only affect your reputation but will also affect your revenues.

Working with your company we can develop your crisis management manual, make sure that you’re prepared for every eventuality and also be there as the panic button you press if something crawls out of the woodwork and threatens to bite you on the ass.

We will work with your business continuity team, operational teams, execs and every department that needs to be involved to ensure that you respond to any situation in the right way or use the media to get the bad news out there in a controlled manner. Together we’ll make sure that your company is protected, whatever happens.

Social Media Crisis Management

You will also need a Social Media Policy, to ensure everyone in your organisation knows what’s expected from them – and more importantly – what’s not acceptable. We can create a policy that works for you and sits alongside your personnel handbook and terms of employment.

We’ve all heard the horror stories about social media faux pas but it is, for the most part, avoidable.  We will help you map a process for recognising a potential crisis, and then managing it, and we can also help you manage a response when the proverbial hits the fan.

We can do this on an ad hoc basis, responding only when you have a need, or on a retainer basis meaning we are not only there to advise when things have gone wrong, but  are there every step of the way to monitor and protect; after all, prevention is better than cure.
